Tilt and Sliding Balcony Doors
These are systems, where part of the design takes into consideration the need for more space. So the way they work is that a large handle is tilted and as it is the glass door pops out from the top and tilts towards the user. It can then be pulled out off the bottom rack allowing it to slide along the bottom track to open. Hence the name Tilt and Slide

Finding the Right parts
Another one of the problems that our engineers find is that a lot of these parts (although recently fitted) are not being manufactured any more. In some cases it is possible to find old stock and parts from distributors in the UK that may have some of these parts sitting on their shelves in their stockrooms but in many of the cases it means that our engineers have to buy updated versions of these all parts and customise them to fit.
In many cases our engineers are told by the customers that we are the third or fourth contractors that have been called out to look at the job because the previous locksmiths after surveying the job decide that it is not something they would be able to fix.
In our vast experience of fixing and maintaining sliding balcony doors and Tilt and Slide locking mechanisms for Windows we are proud to say that we have yet to come across one of these locking mechanisms that we were unable to repair. It is a bold claim and one that we are proud of.
So if you find that your sliding door or window is causing you problems and then give a call and we will be happy to come along and tell you what the problem is and how we can fix it so that whatever you decide to do, you can at least make an informed decision.
